I am a lover of watching children minds grow thru the exploration of the learning process. I love the sand in my toes, dirt of the garden in my hands, tortilla chips with Pico, belly laughs, hugs and most importantly Jesus!

Learning new things is my passion and I am so excited to share that passion with my students! I have my Bachelor of Arts in History with Secondary Education Certification and my Master of Science in Education with Special Education Certification, both from Gwynedd-Mercy University. I spent the majority of my 12 years of teaching in local private schools instructing middle school students (6-8 grades) in social studies and theology but have subbed in grades K-8 and enjoy teaching all ages. After resigning from teaching to care for my late daughter, I began to explore homeschooling and found it to be a way to connect and stay close as a family. My husband and I live in Souderton with our daughter, Isabelle, and our son, Ryan who attend SHAPE. We enjoy spending time outside and going on new adventures together as a family

I graduated from Kean University with a degree in K-8th grade, Special Education, and English. I taught preschool there for 10 years. Then the owner of that daycare opened a private kindergarten and asked me to be the head teacher.. I taught Kindergarten until I graduated college and got a job at a public school right after graduation. I taught a 4th and 5th grade LLD class for 5 years. I left teaching when my first son was only 2 and right before my second son was born. It was always in my heart to homeschool and God has blessed our family to be able to do so. It was one of the best decisions my family has made. I love being home with my boys and being able to watch them grow and learn. Gavin just turned 12 and Levi is almost 10. My husband and I have been married for 13 years. We love going to the beach, amusement parks, hiking, camping, and spending time with friends.

I live in Sellersville with my husband, three children, one fish, one rat, and two guinea pigs. This will be our sixth year of homeschooling and my fifth year teaching at S.H.A.P.E. My college career began at Temple, where I studied architecture for 3 ½ years. Then, transferring to Slippery Rock University, I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education, with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. After graduating and before I had children, I taught both in Philadelphia and in local public and private schools. When I am not at S.H.A.P.E., I enjoy teaching homeschool and essential oil workshops in my home. My joys include reading, drawing, curriculum design, and being outdoors.

I've been married to my best friend for 13 years. We have 4 children, ages 12, 10, 8 & 6. We have always homeschooled with the exception of a brief trial run in 2023. Homeschooling is where the Lord has called us! When I’m not at SHAPE, I work as a doula and help with children’s ministry at my church. I'm excited to teach the Wednesday kindergarten class! I believe in fostering a love for learning and SHAPE is a great place to achieve that!

I have degrees in Art Education and Music Performance from Bluffton University in Bluffton, OH. I taught elementary art at two Private Christian Elementary school and have also taught pre-school for several years. I am joyfully instructing elementary and middle school age children in private drawing lessons. I am also involved with children’s ministry at our church. In the past years I have directed Christmas Musicals and taught Sunday School. Now I am having fun helping run both Wednesday night kids club and Sunday morning children’s church programs. I have been married to my husband, Steve, for 30 years. I was a “navy wife” for the first 5 years and lived in Oak Harbor, WA, Pensacola, FL, and Brunswick, ME, before moving back to my hometown of Silverdale. Together we have raised three children: Brooke age 27, David age 25, and Tommy age 23. I am a “dog-mom” to two cocker spaniels and love taking them on walks. My other loves are drawing, reading, and taking care of my flowers

I began teaching art classes out of the barn several years ago. When I wanted to use our space for more, I reached out to some talented, teaching moms in my community, and SHAPE was born. This year will be our 6th year running. I am married to my wonderful husband, Kerry, without whom SHAPE could not exist. I have always homeschooled our kids, Ashur, age 12, and Ellie, age 9. I had been a preschool teacher and nanny for 10 years before having my own children. I have a degree in Visual Communications, but my true passion is kids and fine arts. I enjoy learning about the world of farming and caring for animals. I am looking forward to using my experience and talent to benefit the homeschool community and share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
